Festivus For the Rest of Us!
Festivus 2025
Tribeca Tavern (Lodge Room)
Cornerstone | Cary, NC
Sunday Dec 6, 4 - 8 PM
With the year winding down it is time for TFS to say thank you to our members with a Festivus dinner on us!
Dinner
We’ve reserved the Lodge Room at the Tribeca Tavern in Cary (High House Rd and Davis Drive) again this year with self-serve appetizers followed by a sit-down dinner (menu TBD).
“Watch This Space for RSVP Info To Come”
This is a TFS members-only event, so if you plan to attend and are not a current member, please zip over to the Support TFS page and join today!
Board Election & By-Laws Update
Besides dinner, we will be voting and announcing the results of the annual election to re-elect board members and update office holders. There are no new members on the slate this year. If you want to join the board, let us know so we can tell you how to get involved at a higher level.
Per our by-laws, the slate is put forward by the Board and voted on by current TFS members who are also current FFRF members (as we are a chapter of the FFRF). If you want to vote on the board membership, please make sure both your TFS membership and FFRF membership are current. Prior to the election, we send our membership list to FFRF and they confirm who is and is not a current FFRF member (we get a rebate from FFRF for each current FFRF member in TFS as well). If you’re not an FFRF member, we encourage you to join so that you can vote. We will send the slate ballot to current members to vote online prior to Festivus, so attendance is not required to vote.
We will also be including updates (discussed earlier this year) to our by-laws as part of the election process this year. The same requirements (currently) hold for voting on by-laws updates.
This event is closed to the public. Triangle Freethought Society is picking up the tab for food and soft drinks, Tribeca Tavern will have a cash bar available.
Please note, as with all our events, harassment/discrimination will not be tolerated. We are an inclusive organization and anyone causing a disturbance or intentionally making others uncomfortable will be asked to leave.
