A Secluded, Peaceful Trail to Hike

New Hope Trail at Jordan Lake
448 West H Jones Rd| New Hill, NC
Sunday, June 21 | 8:30 - 11 AM

Come out to enjoy fresh air with your fellow secular folk! We will take our time to enjoy this 5.7-mile loop trail along Jordan Lake with beautiful lake views and pleasant shade. This is a moderately challenging route, with rocks and roots throughout.

How to find us: We will gather near the trailhead at the west end of the parking lot.

8:30 - 11:00: The New Hope Red Route winds through mixed hardwood forest with views of the lake. Expect rolling terrain and rooted paths through an otherwise peaceful nature excursion near the water.

What to expect at TFS Hikes:

  • A brisk / fitness pace - 3 mph

  • Terrain that can be rooty or rocky

  • Some steep hills or creek crossings

  • 2-2.5 hrs of exercise and adventure

If you aren’t sure you will enjoy keeping up with the group, please consider the TFS events labeled “Walk.”

Dogs are welcome if they are friendly and leashed. Don’t forget extra water and poop bags for your four-legged hiker.

While this event is open to the public and all are welcome, this is not a time or place for evangelizing and harassment/discrimination will not be tolerated. We are an inclusive organization and anyone causing a disturbance or intentionally making others uncomfortable will be asked to leave.
