Walking through the Clemmons Educational State Forest

Clemmons Educational State Forest
2256 Old U.S. Hwy 70 | Clayton, NC
Saturday, May 9| 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Come out to enjoy fresh air with your fellow secular folk! We will walk 3.3 miles on flat ground through the educational forest. These are very family friendly trails with even footing and 'guess that tree' games.

Meet near the Bathrooms: Trail Map
11:00 AM - 12:30 PM: Talking Tree, Demonstration, and Talking Rock Loop

What to expect at TFS Walks:

  • A leisurely / strolling pace - 2 mph

  • Even ground with easy footing

  • Possibly some steps with handrails

  • Accessible for attendees of (almost) all ages

  • 1-1.5 hrs walking with occasional breaks

If you are interested in something faster paced, please consider the TFS events labeled “Hike.”

Dogs are welcome if they are friendly and leashed. Don’t forget extra water and poop bags for your four-legged hiker.

While this event is open to the public and all are welcome, this is not a time or place for evangelizing and harassment/discrimination will not be tolerated. We are an inclusive organization and anyone causing a disturbance or intentionally making others uncomfortable will be asked to leave.
